    (Change the 45 to your number.)

2. Then enter into the next box [Box 2] your estimation of the percentage of these webs which could be replaced by precut Turb-O-Webs. A guide for this is in the 55-65% range.

Tips On Using This Calculator.

Inputs.

Our Default settings are as follows:-

[Box 1]  45%. For the example we have estimated that 45% of the pieces to be cut as listed on the cutting sheet/s are webs.Change the 45 to your number.

[Box 2]  55% . Also, we have estimated that 55% of all webs in the job/s are able to be replaced by precut Turb-O-Webs.Change the 55 to your number.

Change tour figures to your estimations.

From these inputs we get the following outputs.

Outputs.

[Box 3] The number of precut Turb-O-Webs that can be added to 100 parts cut by the plant. (33 in our example).

[Box 4] Confirms the percantage increase in available cut truss parts for assembly. (33 in our example).

[Box 5] and [Box 6] Details that without Turb-O-Webs the plant’s cutting profile between “chords and other parts”  and  webs respectively. (55% and 45% respectively in our example).

[Box 7] and [Box 8] Sets out the cutting profile after Turb-O-Webs are introduced. In our example the chords and other parts now represent 73% of the plant’s cutting and the webs are only 27%.

  For some plants cutting chords is easier/ faster than cutting webs, so this change could improve flow through the saws.

[Box 9] shows the percentage of the saws output given in [Box 7] and [Box 8] is supplemented by precut Turb-O-Webs. 33% in our example.
